Aus F1000 is an advanced open wheel racing category available for the amateur.
Aus F1000 is aimed at giving aspiring amateur drivers a low cost controlled formula car using “wings and slicks” to advance their abilities.
The cars are designed to be visually stunning with their modern aerodynamics, slick tyres and high revving engines. Aus F1000 uses the 4 big engine suppliers – Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki and Honda plus a wide range of chassis designs including Stohr, Phoenix and JKS.
How are Costs Controlled
Motorcycle engines are strong and reliable whilst putting out in excess of 165hp from their 1000cc. By using stock engines such as the Suzuki GSXR 1000. This allows for a greater availability in parts worldwide. For example; a statutory write off Suzuki GSXR 1000 for approximately $4,500 which gives you not just your engine, but gearbox, running gear and electrics.
Aus F1000 History
Aus F1000 has now been running since 2013 in Western Australia with the first State Championship commencing in 2014.
Aus F1000 trophies compromises of the Daniel Ricciardo Perpetual trophy for the overall winner of the season and the Kostera Cup trophy for the winner of the Kostera Cup Round, ran once every year.
